Questions & answers

+What is "safe to spend"?

The cash you can spend today without dipping below your buffer before your next payday, after every known bill and goal contribution is accounted for.

+Do I need to connect my bank?

No. You add income, bills and one-offs by hand, or upload a CSV statement. You can also connect your bank for automatic balance and transaction sync — it's optional, read-only, and included free.

+Are my bank statements uploaded?

No. CSV files are read in your browser. Only entries you choose to add to your ledger are saved, and optional AI analysis sees aggregate totals only — sensitive payee names are generalised first.

+Can my partner see my spending?

Only if you both accept a household invite. Shared views show combined totals by default; line-by-line detail needs every member to opt in, and either of you can leave at any time.

+Can I install it on my phone?

Yes. Open pockettreasury.com in your phone browser and choose "Add to Home Screen". It runs full-screen and keeps working offline after your first visit.

+Will it send me alerts?

Turn on push notifications on the Alerts page and you'll get a nudge when Safe to Spend drops or your balance is heading below your buffer. On iPhone, add the app to your Home Screen first.

+Is this financial advice?

No. PocketTreasury is a forecasting and budgeting tool. Always talk to a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

+How much does it cost?

The Free plan is free forever and includes bank sync, statement import and the audit log. Pro — unlimited AI insights — is coming soon; join the waitlist on the home page.

Roadmap

Where PocketTreasury is heading — from the next few weeks to the long-term vision.

Coming next

  • An income-shock what-if: see what happens if your income stops for two months
  • Clearer tracking of small monthly surpluses below the €100 money-market fund minimum

Planned

  • A consolidated multi-bank, multi-currency view — connect accounts across banks and see one combined balance in your own currency
  • Smarter placement of savings across named goals with different time horizons

Long-term vision

  • A pre-arranged household credit facility — standby credit you can draw on, the household version of an ABL drawdown. This depends on consumer-credit authorisation and a regulated partner, so it carries no date.
